Meet Morty! This handsome hound found his way to us a couple days after Christmas while out on a hunt. He must have known what he was doing as he appeared very weak, ragged and in need of medical care. We immediately fell in love with him, his gentle loving spirit and his soulful, pleading eyes. His owner picked him up but the following morning we called him and pleaded for him. Well, we got a late Christmas gift as his owner agreed to let us take him in to The Chance Foundation. He has been an outdoor hunting hound his entire life, but he has made it abundantly clear to us that he is ready to retire and live a life of indoor comforts and a lot of love. We believe Morty is approximately 5 or 6 years old. He is a sweet appreciative boy and doesn't ask for much more than a cozy, warm bed, yummy food and someone to dote on him. If interested, please contact us at 540 788 3559 or email us at [email protected].

Meet Wallace! He is 50 lbs and approximately 18 months old. We were told that he is quiet, great in the car, good with cats, and crate trained. He came to us because he needs a little help building his confidence. He is a little leery of fast movements but does not take long to warm up! We do think Wallace would do best in a home with older children that will respect his space. Wallace loves other dogs! He really enjoys playing with other dogs. If you are interested in this handsome boy, please fill out our adoption application found at www.countryclubkennels.com, or feel free to call us at 540-788-3559.

RIP Howard aka "Howie", 2004-2018
For 12 perfect years Howard was a member of our family. Howard was incredibly protective of his family and found himself in some trouble as a sassy 3 year old. We vowed as a team to keep Howie safe and the only way to do that was to keep him with his CCK&T Family.
The day he left us there was not a heart left unbroken among the staff and volunteers of the CCK family.
Howard lived like a king in our kennel and his incredible personality and ability to love will never be forgotten.
Howie meant so much to our team here, He was the best listener and many of us would use him as a shoulder to cry on. He was also incredibly protective of his family, we never felt unsafe with him around. But best of all Howie had a heart bigger than anyone could imagine. His love had no limits.
Our family lost not only our Shining Star, but our therapist, body guard, and our Best friend.
See you over the rainbow one day, until then.... We love you Howard.
