The Chance Foundation: Available Dogs for Adoption

My name is Bellagio. I am a two year old male Chihuahua. My previous owner lost her home and had to go to a family shelter. She had a friend taking care of me and I missed her so much that I actually went looking for her and walked all the way home to an empty house. Animal control picked me up and that’s where I stayed until TCF took me in. I am a handsome little boy and would love to find a home where someone will give me the love that I’m accustomed to. I love to play ball and I do many tricks. I also know all the basic commands and will do anything for a treat. If you want a new family member in your home I'm it.

My name is Boone. I am a very handsome boy in need of a special home. I was initially adopted to a family when I was 8 weeks old, but they ended up returning me to The Chance Foundation. Unfortunately, I hadn't received alot of socialization nor structure/disipline ..... and they decided I would do better in a different home. Now that I am back with TCF, I am really making great improvement. I know all my obedience commands and also love playing and socializing with other dogs.I would like to find a home with a family that has had large dogs in the past and understands the importance of socialization and obedience training.

(TCF doesn't want all their hard work to go to waste!) I would love a fenced yard but also enjoy going for nice walks. I will do best in a somewhat calm, structured household. I have alot of potential in the right hands and will make a loving, devoted companion. My siblings and even my mom (who was very shy) have found their forever homes.....I'm hoping that soon will be my turn. Additional / Larger Photos
My name is Champ. I am a very handsome, male, Pitbull Terrier mix searching for a forever home. I've spent most of my life homeless...living at a vet's office for almost a year and now, through HART, I am staying at Country Club Kennels and Training. I really am a good boy, but just haven't had the chance to show that to anyone yet. I do like to play w/ other dogs, however, I am pretty energetic at times, so I need someone who can handle my "exhuberant" playstyle. I love to go for walks, but I also love to be loved on. I am more comfortable w/ women, however, I do have some male friends.....it just takes me a little while to understand they don't mean me any harm.
I have been working on my obedience training and have been doing wonderfully. I've really had a rough beginning to my life and am hoping that someone special will open up their heart and home to me and just give me a chance. I promise, I'll try my best to show you that I can be a loving, devoted companion if you just give me a little time and attention. Please consider me.

Our names are Armani and Chanel. We came from a very neglectful home that let our nails grow so long that they started to curl into our skin. We are all very sweet, some of us are shy but warm up quickly. Armani: I am very lovable and I love telling the other dogs what to do. I love to snuggle undercovers and play with little toys. There was seven of us now it is down to two I would love to find a home. Chanel: I love getting attention and if you don't give it to me I'll find away to get it. I love to give kisses and I have a big smile on my face when I give them and get them from people. I love to be snuggled on someones lap or curled up next to them. Please consider us!!!

My name is Bubby. I am an incredibly sweet boy who doesn’t understand why I was just dropped off at the local SPCA. My previous owner left me there stating that she couldn’t afford to feed me anymore. If you noticed….I am quite a bit overweight…..weighing in at 90 lbs. when I should probably be closer to 45 lbs.! I have lost quite a bit of weight since I've been here and I now weigh around 70lbs, but I've got more to lose. Even with my weight problem, I still am quite perky, love to go for car rides and love to go for long walks with people. I also enjoy playing with other dogs and I love my squeaky toys!!! I need a home that will give me lots of love and I assure you I have lots of love to give you!!

My name is Cody and I am a strikingly handsome border collie mix. I am a wonderful boy and in need of a new home, preferably with older children or adults only. I love people and love to play Frisbee. I am a very energetic boy so am looking for a family that is going to take me hiking and keep my busy. I would make a great sidekick. Everyone that meets me falls in love with me! Please consider making me part of your family. If interested please contact Stephanie at sschotz@verizon.net

My name is Cowboy and I am a sweet, little pug. I am about seven years old and am very good natured. I get along great with other dogs and am a pretty low key boy. If you're looking for a nice quiet companion, then that would be me!

My name is Darby and I'm a beautiful brindled color lab/pitbull mix. I am 2 years old. Everyone tells me how handsome I am! I was first owned by a young man in the Army. Due to his deployment schedule, he found that he couldn't care for me properly so he gave me to his Mother and father when I was 8 months old. I have been through obedience training, level 1 and 2, and am current on all my shots. I am also totally house broken!
I love to play tug and chase after sticks and balls.I have a lot of energy and need to get good exercise everyday. I love playing with dogs and love going on walks with people. I'm very good with people once I get to know them I just have to be introduced properly. Please consider adding me to your home!~

My name is Elliot and I’m a beautiful Golden Retriever mix. I get along well with other dogs as long as they aren’t bouncing around in my face. Therefore, it would probably be best if I went to a single dog family. I am also a little shy and timid upon meeting new people, so I am looking for a quiet home that doesn’t have any young kids. I am housebroken and have had some training and would make a great loyal companion.

Our names are Gizmo (white) and Odie (black) and we are adorable little poodles. We are about 10 and 11 years old but that’s young for a poodle! We were brought to The Chance Foundation because our previous owner was no longer able to care for us, so we are looking for a nice loving home. We would prefer to go to a home together as we have lived together our whole lives and do well as a pair. We are both friendly boys and get along great with other dogs! Please consider us.

My name is Gordito and I’m a male Chihuahua. I was found in a busy intersection dodging 18-wheeler trucks. Fortunately, someone from TCF happened to see me, pulled over and scooped me up. I am a cute little boy who will make a wonderful companion to a special someone. I love other dogs and have been adapting quite nicely to the sofas at CCK so I want to find a home that will give me lots of love and let me sleep under the covers.

Hi, my name is Hercules and I am a 10 month old, purebred, Cattle Dog. I am cute as can be and very friendly. I love all dogs and people and am full of energy. I was given up because my owner is in the military and was deplyed to Iraq. I am looking for a family that likes to go hiking and do other outdoorsy things since I am an active boy. I will make a great and loyal companion.

My name is Hunter and I am a gorgeous Golden Retriever. I love both dogs and people and would make a great family member. I am pretty energetic and love to play, therefore I am looking for a family with an active lifestyle. Right now I am being fostered by a wonderful family and they say that I am a great dog. I am housebroken and can do no wrong! Last time I was at the vet, they said that I have a small heart murmur. I do not need medication for it and I can still live a normal life, however, my life expectancy might not be quite as long as it should be. Please consider meeting me; I will make some family very happy!

My name is Jet. I am a very sharp looking black and white Pit Bull mix. The people at the shelter loved me so much that they begged and pleaded for someone to come rescue me. So far everyone has been very impressed with me, stating that I have a very fun outgoing personality and that I am a quick learner. I am great with all of my obedience training and love playing with other dogs and people. I am approximately 2 years old, outgoing and affectionate. Please consider me. I am a special boy.

My name is Kayley and I am an adorable Chihuahua. I weigh about 10-12 pounds and would make a great little companion. I am outgoing and looking for a home that will give me the attention I deserve. I would prefer not to go to a home with small children as I am a delicate little girl.

My name is Maxwell and I am a very handsome 13 year old male beagle who has found himself in a much unexpected situation. I had lived with my family all of my 13 years of life and now I find myself without a home, since the 8 year old daughter became allergic to me. I was always a good boy, a devoted companion and did nothing wrong so I’m a little confused and sad that I lost everything that I knew. The kind people at TCF agreed to take me in as the other option was to euthanize me. I am hoping that there is a kind soul out there who would take me in to their home and love me for whatever time I have left. I am pretty low maintenance and I enjoy snuggling up on a couch or an armchair for most of the day but I still enjoy my outings. I’m good with other dogs as long as they are gentle with me considering I am a senior citizen. Please consider opening up your heart and home to me.

This is Millie and Miley. Millie is a beautiful Basset Hound approximately 4 years old and Miley is her puppy approximate date of birth beginning of December. The SPCA believes that they also have the dad which is a Chihuahua so Miley probably won’t be very big. They are incredibly sweet, playful and affectionate. TCF would like to place them together as a pair as they are quite attached and are perfect together.

Meet Odin.  A two year old male Pitbull x.  This guy was the runt of the litter but has grown into quite the big boy. He is a little skittish of new people and surroundings but once he warms up, he is the perfect pet companion.  He can be very active and enjoys lots of room to run.  He loves to play fetch, watch TV, play in the water, cuddle up somewhere soft & warm and loves car rides.  He truly is a big baby. He is great around cats, dogs, small pets, such as hamsters and children. He is house broken, obeys basic commands, and walks well on a leash.  The family I was with before wishes they didn't have to give him up but the husband is in the military and they were not able to keep him.  He is looking for a good home and new parents to love and spoil him. Don’t miss out on this one of a kind friend. He would make a great addition to your home!!!

My name is Owen. I am very affectionate and love getting attention. My favorite place to be is in someone's lap. Right now I'm staying up at the owners house where I get lots of love and attention and I get to play with lots of other dogs. I love going on long walks like most beagles and love getting special treats when I'm good which once you get to know me is all the time. Please if looking for a great companion consider me!

My name is Samantha, you can call me Sammy if you like. I am a gorgeous Pit Bull puppy. I was rescued from a very neglectful situation from the recent snowstorm. My previous owner had five dogs; one froze to death two weeks ago. We were all chained to shabby dog houses and my mom actually ate her first litter of nine puppies because she was so hungry, so I consider myself lucky. If you can look past the early scars on my face, neck and ears from where one of the other dogs (who was also hungry) got a hold of me, you’ll see that I’ve got a gentle nature. I’m now learning what it’s like to be a loved pet, rather than a possession on a chain in a backyard. I am about 5 to 6 months old as of February 10 and am a sweet trusting and forgiving girl. Since TCF rescued me, they have had me well socialized, playing with up to twenty dogs at a time, small, medium and large. They are doing everything they can to make sure that the rest of my life is much better than the first six months. If I join your family, I will be a very loving and loyal companion.

My name is Stella and I am 100% pure English Golden Retriever, AKA certified.  I am very affectionate and love to snuggle up, be petted and would gladly be a lap dog if you would let me.  My sweet and loyal disposition makes me a wonderful companion and I am always excited to see you.  My perfect household would be with an older person that wants a full time companion, although I grew up with young children and adore them as well.  I am good around other dogs but now that I’m almost seven, I would prefer to be around older dogs, cats are fine too.  I’m just looking for someone to give me lots of loving and I promise to reciprocate.

I grew up in a kennel and was a mommy a few times.  My vet says I’m very healthy and have excellent teeth.  I’ve had all my shots and come with papers for my certification and a record of my recent trip to the vet.

If you’re looking for a sweet heart and lovable companion then please give my present owner, Linda Lopez a call at (703) 300-5585, I would love to meet you.

Swayze is a beautiful pit bull terrier in need of a loving home. He is 60-65 lbs, tan/champagne color and white, and a lover. He is spoiled and loves his dental chews and treats.  He is house broken completely and knows basic commands and tricks.  He went to petsmart training class and passed. He loves just laying with you and also running around in our fenced in yard, playing fetch and chewing on nyla bones. He'll eat any dog food. He likes his crate and if you tell him to go to it he will.  He likes people but is shy at first, loves kids, and likes other dogs.  He has not shown signs of aggression and loves to play. He plays often with his sister and brother and is curious to meet other/new dogs. He is up to date on all his shots and goes to the vet regularly.  He also is registered and is given monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention.  He gets his nails clipped at the vet but if you can have someone hold him down you can cut his nails yourself. He also loves to sleep with you and lay his head on your shoulder but gladly sleeps in his crate. He is a big talker and expresses all his emotions.  He is kind of clumsy and doesn’t realize how big he is sometimes. Basically he is a wonderful dog and it kills me to give him up especially because i could see myself having a pit later in life because they are such great dogs, but in my personal situation right now and considering what is best for him, I would like to find him a good home that has the time for him. So if any of this interests you, please contact me at sinnottmq@gmail.com or on my cell phone at 703.470.0993.

My name is Wally and I am a cute beagle/hound mix. Currently I am staying at Country Club Kennels while I go through the training course, where I am learning my manners and am being socialized with dogs and people. I am learning a lot and the people there say that I am one of their best students. I love to go for walks and know all of my obedience commands. I am housebroken and even know some tricks. I would do best in a quiet home where someone just wants a quiet, calm companion. Please consider me.

Skye is a beautiful female Great Dane. Upon rescue, we were told she was 10-12 weeks, however, she was more like 5 months. Unfortunately, she has a serious condition called megasophagus, which is an enlargement of the esophagus. She needs to be fed in an elevated position and kept in a sitting position (usually on our couch) so that gravity can take her food down to her stomach. She will require this "special care" in order for her to thrive probably for the rest of her life.
She is a fantastic, fun loving girl, and we hope one day to find her a very special home where someone will have the time to commit towards her special care. She loves playing with other dogs and she truly is just a dream. Please consider her!!
